Raw avocado chocolate mousse is one raw dessert that I’ve been turning my nose up at for a while. Needless to say, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the result! It’s no secret that avocados make for the most amazingly thick smoothies so adding a little less liquid easily makes a nice raw chocolate mousse. I made this one in about 5 minutes and it set instantly so makes for a great dessert in a pinch!

Serves 4

  • 1 X frozen banana
  • 2 X large avocados
  • 7 X medjool dates (pitted)
  • 1/2 X cup almond milk
  • 2 X tbsp raw cacao powder
  • 1/2 X vanilla pod (scraped)
  • Pinch of pink Himalayan salt

Combine all ingredients in a blender until thick and creamy and then divide into four small bowls or glasses. You can either serve immediately or store in the fridge. Yum!
